-**PhD Position in Arctic Meteorology**+Currently there are no open positions.

-The objective of this research project in the InScAPE research group (http://gop.meteo.uni-koeln.de/inscape/) is to investigate the evolution of low-level mixed-phase clouds as embedded in intrusions of moist air into the high Arctic. Such clouds are persistent at high latitudes and have key impacts on the Arctic climate system, many aspects of which are still poorly understood. To gain insight, high-resolution large-eddy simulations will be combined with measurements made during the upcoming HALO-(AC)3 field campaign north of Svalbard, scheduled to take place in early Spring 2022 (http://www.halo-spp.de/ and http://www.ac3-tr.de). Conceptual modeling techniques will be applied to interpret the simulations and observations, and to elucidate the role played by low clouds in various feedback mechanisms behind the ongoing rapid warming of the Arctic climate.+For student projects, please refer to [[https://atmos.meteo.uni-koeln.de/inscape/doku.php?id=students|Student projects]]
