HD(CP)² Supersite Quicklooks
Welcome! This site provides near-real-time quicklooks of and general information on the atmospheric profiling stations (supersites) within the BMBF (German ministry for education and research) research initiative HD(CP)² (High Definition Clouds and Precipitation for Climate Prediction).
Within the largest German experiment to capture the 3D sturcture of clouds and precipitation (the HD(CP)² Observational Prototype Experiment (HOPE)), the mobile supersites from Leipzig (LACROS) and Karlsruhe (KITcube) will be deployed in the direct vicinity of the Jülich Observatory for Cloud Evolution (JOYCE) from April-May 2013. The supersites will be complemented with instruments from University of Hohenheim (UHOH), MPI for Meteorology and University of Hamburg. You can find a map of the HOPE area with all important measurement sites here.
