====== HATPRO-SUNHAT ====== //Mentor: B.Pospichal// ===== Principle ===== **SUNHAT** is a humidity and temperature profiler (HATPRO) manufactured by RPG. It measures 7 brightness temperatures in the water vapor line (22.24 GHz) and 7 in the oxygen complex (60 GHz), the former brightness temperatures are used for water vapor profiling, the latter for temperature profiling. Measurements around the water vapor line are used to derive integrated water vapor (IWV) and integrated liquid water (LWP) content. \\ SUNHAT is now deployed at the Barbados cloud observatory and performing synchronous measurements with a scanning Ka-band polarized Doppler cloud radar. Synergetic measurements of SUNHAT, the cloud radar and the other instruments deployed at the Barbados site are used to study shallow cumulus clouds forming in the trade-wind of North Atlantic. ===== Instrument ===== \\ RPG HATPRO-SUNHAT at the Barbados Clouds Observatory. ===== History ===== ^ Period ^ Place ^ Project ^ | 09/2023 - today | UFS Schneefernerhaus, Germany | | | 05/2021 - 09/2021 | Lindenberg, Germany |FESSTVAL campaign | | 05/2018 - 11/2019 | Research Center Jülich, Germany | | | 11/2017 - 02/2018 | Pallas Observatory, Finland | Pallas Cloud Experiment 2017 | | 11/2013 - 04/2017 | Barbados Cloud Observatory, Barbados | ITaRS | | 04/2013 - 07/2013 | Research Center Jülich, Germany | HOPE | | 12/2010 - 2012 | Barbados | HALO | | 08/2008 - 07/2010 | Research Center Jülich, Germany | TR32 | | 04 - 08/2008 | Selhausen, Germany | TR32 | | 04 - 12/2007 | Heselbach, Germany | COPS | | 01/2006 - 01/2007 | Nangatchori, Benin | AMMA | | 09 - 10/2005 | Lindenberg, Germany | LAUNCH | ===== Data ===== * If you are interested in receiving data please contact: [=42&tx_rggooglemap_pi1[poi]=42|U.
